How to cancel an Ancestry.co.uk Subscription
Canceling your subscription online
- Log-in to your Ancestry account if you’re not already.
- Click on your username in the top-right corner of the website. Then select My Account Options from the drop-down list..
3-Within the Subscription Options section on the right side of the page, click theCancel subscription link.
Note: If you do not see a Cancel subscription link, the account you are signed in to does not have an active subscription.
4-Before you can cancel your subscription, you need to verify your account. Please enter your password and click the orange CONTINUE button.
5-Please tell us why you’re canceling by choosing an option from the drop-down list. You can choose to leave a comment, however this is not required.
6-Once you have finished, click the orange CONTINUE button.
7-Click the orange NO THANKS, CONFIRM CANCELLATION button to cancel your subscription.
Note: You can also change your subscription type by selecting the corresponding option and clicking the green CHANGE SUBSCRIPTION button.
Canceling your subscription by phone
You may also cancel by phone by contacting us at least two days prior to your subscription renewal date (to guarantee effective cancellation). You’ll need to provide us with this information:
- First and last name
- Subscription type
- Email address used for subscription
- Phone number including country code

After canceling your subscription, you will still have access to Ancestry as a registered guest. You can use certain community features such as message boards, all free record collections, and the Learning Center. In addition, any Ancestry Member Trees you’ve created are yours to enjoy regardless of whether or not you have a subscription.
