How do I delete my meetup.com account?
To turn off all email updates across your Meetup Groups, click on your oval Accountdropdown, then select Settings. Select Email Updates from the left column. Click the Turn off button under the Email updates header.
This will stop all email updates about your messages and replies, comments, photos you are tagged in, product news, and suggestions. We’ll still email you information about your account, security, privacy & policies, and payments.
If you’d like to leave one of your Meetup Groups, log into your Meetup account and click the oval-shaped Account drop-down menu in the upper right corner of the page. Click on the name of the Meetup Group you’d like to leave. (You may have to click See all my groups first.)
From here, hover over the My Profile drop-down menu. You’ll find this menu directly above the ‘What’s New’ feed. Select Leave this group.
On the next page, you’ll get the chance to write a quick note to your Organizer letting him or her know why you’re leaving, if you wish. It’s optional. When you’re done, clickLeave this group at the bottom of the page to confirm.
If you would like to remove or delete your account completely from the site, you can do so from your General page under Account.
Click there and scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says Delete your Meetup account. Be careful, this is permanent!
